All vehicle rentals in Scunthorpe will be governed by a Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required upon collecting your vehicle. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment platforms.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, you are required to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and must be signed by both parties. It is important to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and additional charges may apply. The vehicle must also be returned with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will be charged if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may result in extra fees, so please inform us as soon as possible if you expect to return the vehicle late. You will be held responsible for any parking tickets, traffic offenses, and related charges incurred during your rental, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms

7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited uses of the rental vehicle:
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky pursuits is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is also forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. The vehicle should not be used for purposes it was not intended for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Driving beyond the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Scunthorpe is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability arising from negligence leading to death or personal injury, or in cases of fraud.

These Terms adhere to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
